CHAD LARRY
Yeah, for Pokemon that was actually a pretty damn nice backstory.
That should’ve been answered during the first episode, the way he was introduced standing on his Tail lol
I think this has to be one of the best thing I've watched from Pokémon in a long time, sure Ash's adventure had epic episodes here and there, but this one episode felt like it's own movie... and that was amazing, it's also a great way to link Scarlet and Violet with the anime.
Couple of great things about this episode, Larry getting a cameo was unexpected and I think we can all agree that Liko's mom was the one that lit the fuse in the future adventure of her own daughter... talk about the call of destiny, also... I think after today's episode I'm gonna start shipping Friede and Orio really hard, because I loved how they interacted when the Brave Asagi was completed.
Either way, this episode made me love this show even more, and can't wait to see what stuff is going to happen now that they finally reached Galar.
EDIT: Also, 20:00, Orio is officially one of the bustiest girls in the Pokémon universe.
That Larry cameo is so him. So normal XD
Plus, him making a debut in an episode talking about a flying Pikachu. Only those that played the game would know XD
People who know - 😏
People who don't know - 😐
Don't underestimate the power of a common man.
Badasses always seem to have white hair. He is almost like Gojo, a know it all but always curious to see something out of the ordinary.
Yeah
Poor Larry was given only a cameo.
but wouldn't it be very in character for Larry to not want to make a big deal out of things he was only there to eat his food after all not all the hassel that comes with screen time
Unfortunately, hope will get to see him in battle some time in the future
I like how Liko was shocked because her mother was Friede's teacher instead of anything else. I like how dense she can be at times. Also, great backstory and episode.
Yeah agreed
This is Peak Horizons!
Yep
So....the way Friede befriended Pikachu is by stalking it? XD
the best way to attract people
For goodness sake, DO NOT DO THIS IRL! YOU WILL BE JAILED!
Or a restraining order will happen
So um, heads up, I'll be stalking you until you'll be my friend '_'
lol
I think there another reason for Orio didn't ask for money. That ship should cost more than 100k dollar to make or at millions. Working on ship instead of getting paid. lol She gonna want him a ring. lol
I like the Pikachu and him backstory. It remind me of the flash. Who knew you could use volttackle that way. Pretty cool but to dangerous he could died.
Liko mom is hawt.
Friede gathering the crew to find One Piece XD
If you have the charisma to pull it off then the Monkey D. Luffy method of recruitment has guaranteed results. If you make the crew find an adventure with you worth uprooting their lives then you'll have loyalty and an incredibly fun journey. Being able to make money without resorting to beicoming a sky pirate is also nice.
Bro thinks he's Luffy XD
lol 😂
11:35 cap: bruh this guy again 😒😒😑😑
now this was a goo depisode
Charizard and Friede flying towards the base of the voltackle cloud remained me of my favourite animation sequence done by Pokémon which is May/ORAS female character flying towards Sky Pillar with Latios.
I forgot about that animation sequence from ORAS
But seriously amazing episode. Also nice choice not uploading that footage.
Imagine Ash watching that and making Pikachu revert back to Volt Tackle. Ash, wherever he is, will turn Pikachu into a menace in the sky. Raining Thunderbolts & Electroballs while making the enemies question their sanity.
Agreed
The Man, the GOAT, the living Legend. He finally made his appearance.
I understand they had to cut off the opening just to squish the budget to put the GOAT in this episodeIl, just imaging if he atleast moved to slurp. I can see this episode could have topped off Ash winning against Leon as the best episode of the franchise
i saw Larry and popped off noo wait go back to Larry danm it allso was intresting to find out that Fried and Liko technicly already met each other before
What a beautiful backstory episode, it's even well-animated! and I like where Friede got the Ship and Team name! NOW THE TEAM WILL BE ENTERING THE GALAR REGION!!
Friede and Cap flashback was very enjoyable, I really liked the bond they have together. I didn’t know the lady Friede was talking to was Liko mother till smol Liko showed up, that actually caught me off guard lol
Ayee it was also nice to see Larry on the screen even though it was for a brief couple seconds. I enjoyed fighting him during my play through in SV, especially during the Elite Four.
Wow Cap has always just been Cold as heck, bro was doing squats with his tail haha
If I had a nickel for every time a Pikachu that was a part of the main cast's first response was to attack their trainer upon meeting them, I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's still weird that it happened twice.
Take note, Pokemon Journeys, THIS is how you do a series about traveling around. Much as I still miss Ash and all his old friends, I'd say this is straight up the best Pokemon anime at this point. It's doing everything right, from the start of the journey, to the villains, to that drip feed of backstory that's enough to keep us invested in the characters, while developing the young trainers as well. Sure, Pikachu and Charizard are both overused at this point - but with Pikachu, they've developed Cap into something very unique, very different from the one we knew with Ash. I just hope they do the same with Charizard, because they could have given the role of flyer to a lot of other Pokemon, and I still kind of despise that they prey on that nostalgia and popularity. If they can turn Charizard into something unique like they did with Cap, then my last real complaint with Horizons will be gone - I absolutely adore this anime.
Though, would also be nice to see someone from Ash's travels show up, if only to establish that this is the same world/timeline and when. They could easily still put in lots of little cameos and really give old fans a treat in the way we wanted Journeys to do.
Yeah, I feel the same for this new series, I love that every episode is essential to the overall story, with episode involving the plot of the pendant the ancient pokeball, then episode with character development for the cast, unlike with Ash's series, they would go for about 10+ episode doing random filler that don't do anything for the story, then have about 1-3 episodes of either a gym battle, a contest, or for character development, then go back to useless filler for another 10+ episodes.
I wanted to finish watching the original series when I had more free time but I really don't feel like going back to it after this
Gojo Satoru of the Pokemon universe
What a fantastic episode, one of the best Pokemon episode so far, the animation for the tornado is at Pokemon's movie standard, the music is top-notch especially at 17:00 (and English dub is gonna get rid of it like WTF), and they play the opening at the end of the episode? When did Pokemon ever do that!?
so.. Cap's 3rd known move is not Fly, but a uniquely-enhanced Volt Tackle, still pretty nice tho
Feels like Liko's mom is related to Diantha, kinda looks similar
Nice the meeting of Cap Pikachu & Friede. Is such hearthwarming story. It brought some tears in my eyes. But when are they going to meet Liko's grandma? It really is taking very long before they are going there.
friede's phone didnt have a rotom in the flash back
oh Murdock Backstory will be next!
OH so that's why Cap can do Tail-stand
Shuckle can do that kind of stuff?!
forget the beautiful and interesting episode
PALDEA BEST GYM LEADER LARRY MAKES HIS SPECTACULAR AND NORMAL DEBUT
that aside, the flashback was very well made and answered some questions, cap is cool :3
